Q: Where can I find the serial number on my mattress or foundation?

A: On the law tag at the head of the mattress.
To Top

Q: What is the cover made of?

A: Please see the details on each product page for more information.
To Top

Q: Where can I purchase sheets to fit Ashley Sleep?

A: Standard sheets work, no deep pocket sheets required.
To Top

Q: Do standard sheets fit on Ashley Sleep?

A: Yes, the thickest mattress is only 15 inches thick.
To Top

Q: Can I use a quilted mattress pad with my Ashley Sleep mattress?

A:Ashley Sleep does not recommend that you use a quilted mattress pad as it will change the feel of the mattress you selected at the store. It may also trap heat that needs to escape. A thin mattress protector is recommended so it breathes to allow air flow and heat dissipation.
To Top

Q: What is memory foam?

A: The benefit of memory foam is that the material is temperature and pressure sensitive. In bedding, the material reacts to your heat and starts molding to the contours of your body supporting all your weight, not putting undue stress on your skin. By reducing pressure points, you can sleep soundly in one position longer without waking up to find a comfortable spot.
To Top

Q: What is Latex?

A: Latex is a natural, renewable and durable product that is anti-microbial (kills germs), dust mite, mold and mildew resistant, naturally cool and breathable. The latex is harvested from plantation grown rubber trees by milking the sap from the trees which makes it eco-friendly. The advantage of using Latex in bedding is a pressure relieving, buoyant and responsive feel with allergy reducing properties.
To Top

Q: What is EverGreen? Why is it in your mattresses?

A: Evergreen is a process by which we infuse real Green Tea extract into our memory foam to proactively help reduce the chemical smells that can be present in new foam mattresses. The green tea neutralizes the odor causing agents and gives our mattresses a fresh smell.
To Top

Q: Why is there Charcoal in the mattresses? Is it purified?

A: Ashley Sleep made advancement in the production of memory foam by adding Purified Charcoal to our foam in the manufacturing stage. This process is called Activfresh, it is designed to neutralize the bad and lasting chemical smell that is present with other manufacturer’s products for weeks. The Charcoal absorbs smells and also absorbs moisture. Think of it as an odor eater for your mattress.
To Top

Q: What is Torso Tec?

A: Torso Tec is a support system in the mattress that provides proper spinal alignment. Ashley Sleep calls it “zoned support”. Our bodies have different zones that are lighter and heavier and the mattress needs to support these areas differently. The Torso Tec system provides more support in the heavier areas, like our middle torso, and contouring pressure relief to the areas that needs less firmness, like our shoulders and hips. Harder foam is used in the areas that need it and softer memory foam in the areas that need gentle support.
To Top

Q: What is Eco Fusion or Bio-foam?

A: Ashley Sleep is conscience about the impact on the environment that our products have. With Ecofusion, Ashley Sleep replaces 30% of the polyurethane (oil based) chemical in memory foam with castor seed oil. This reduces the amount of oil we use manufacturing our products. This benefits the consumer by reducing the cost of goods because we are reducing the cost of raw materials and reducing the amount of oil based chemicals.
To Top

Q: Do Ashley Sleep Mattresses sleep hot?

A: Ashley Sleep has taken a proactive approach in the design of their mattresses by incorporating designs that ventilate the memory foam. Tiny holes have been punched into the foam to increase heat dissipation and increase air flow. Special fabric is also used that wicks away heat, keeping you cool at night.
To Top

Q: My child has allergies; will your Ashley Sleep mattresses bother him/her?

A: Ashley Sleep eliminates dust mites, mold and mildew. Latex beds are antimicrobial and hypoallergenic. Some people are allergic to latex and believe they cannot purchase a latex mattress for this reason. The latex used in bedding applications is hypoallergenic and will not cause allergies. True allergic reactions to Latex are from direct contact to Latex itself. In bedding, you will never be in direct contact with the latex to get the allergic reaction.
To Top

Q: Can I use my current box spring with your mattresses?

A: Ashley Sleep’s warranty covers mattresses purchased with Ashley Sleep foundation or Better than a Box Spring Riser, Power Base or Ashley Furniture Platform bed. Most manufacturers design their mattresses and foundations together and are tested for longevity and durability together. Mixing one foundation with another mattress could cause the mattress to prematurely break down and void the warranty.
To Top

Q: Can I put a piece of plywood or particle board over my existing box spring?

A: Ashley Sleep does not suggest doing this. A box spring is designed to support a traditional spring mattress, and it "gives". Placing a piece of particleboard or plywood over a box spring will produce a surface that is unstable and will void your warranty.
To Top

Q: What is a Better than a Box Spring Riser?

A: Ashley Sleep Better than Box Spring risers are easily transportable, boxed foundation and metal frame all rolled into one. The riser comes in a box and is able to be taken apart for easy transport. When new, it assembles in less than 10 minutes, takes the place of a metal frame and even has better support than a standard foundation by having 12 legs to the floor for better weight distribution. Also, our risers help provide better allergy relief for those who suffer from allergies by not having all the area for dust and bugs to dwell in.
To Top

Q: What is a foundation?

A: A foundation is a solid, rigid support system that looks like a traditional box spring. It is designed to give superior support to the memory foam or Latex mattress so as not to sag over time. Box springs are designed to flex whereas foundations are designed not to give so the mattress provides all the support.
To Top

Q: How long does it take to get used to your mattresses?

A: If you are used to an old spring mattress, it's just a change in what you're used to. Normal adjustment period is 3-4 weeks. Over that time your body adapts to the new surface and has to adjust to a mattress that is providing proper support compared to an old, worn, and pressure causing spring mattress. For most, the adjustment is instantaneous. You will wake up more refreshed in the morning, not tired and aching.
To Top

Q: I have a platform bed; do I have to use your foundation?

A: If your platform bed has a solid surface and strong center support that can properly support the mattress, you can use it instead of a foundation. However, if the platform bed uses slats spread far apart to support the mattress, you may be using an improper foundation that will void your warranty.
To Top

Q: Do I have to purchase your foundation?

A: Ashley Sleep encourages you to buy a foundation when you buy your mattress; it provides the solid base your mattress requires to do its job properly. If you choose not to purchase our foundation, you must position the mattress on a completely flat, solid surface with adequate center support. Do not use the mattress with a conventional box spring. Please note that using the mattress without an Ashley Sleep foundation or similar firm, solid-surface; non-spring base may void the warranty.
To Top

Q: Can Ashley Sleep Mattresses work on Motion Bases?

A: Ashley Sleep mattresses are ideal for motion bases. Our mattresses are the perfect material for motion bases because they will not create pressure points or fatigue like spring based mattresses will when bent or elevated.
To Top

Q: How do I clean up a spill? Urine? Blood? How do I clean my mattress?

A: You will not need to clean the mattress if you purchase a mattress protector at the same time you purchase the mattress. This way, you insure the mattress will be free of dust mites, mold, mildew, spots and stains. Most mattress protectors are also insured against staining the mattress and if a stain does occur the mattress protection company will come out and clean or in some instances replace the mattress at their cost.
To Top

Q: How much do your mattresses weigh?

A: Ashley Sleep mattresses can weigh anywhere from 60 lbs. in Queen to 195 lbs. in King depending on the model. With our convenient packaging it is easy to transport and handle your new Ashley Sleep Mattress set
To Top

Q: Why does my memory foam mattress feel harder at times and softer at other times?

A: The memory foam material is temperature sensitive. When you first lie on the mattress, it takes a few seconds for the material to react to the heat from your body, giving you a feel that is firm until your heat can cause the material to contour to you. If the temperature in the room is colder, the material will feel less responsive until the heat makes it conform. If the environment is warmer, then the material will be initially softer.
To Top

Q: How do your mattresses come packaged? Can we pick them up ourselves?

A: The Ashley Sleep line of mattresses, use an environmentally friendly and cost reducing process called "compression technology". This process places the mattresses in a plastic bag and then evacuates the air. The mattress is then rolled into a tight box. The material we use is twenty first century technology which makes it ideal for this process. The advantages are, it is less costly to transport, less damage to the product, easier to deliver and more cost effective to keep in inventory. The transportation savings alone contribute to our bedding being less expensive compared to other manufacturers. The boxes these come in are 60"x18"x17" or King 78"x18"x17".
To Top

Q: Do you offer twin, full, queen, king mattresses?

To Top

To Top

Q: What stores carry California King Mattresses and box springs?

A: While not every store carries Ashley Sleep California King size, any Ashley Sleep store can order California King.
To Top

Q: Will high humidity affect my mattress?

A: Higher Humidity levels should not affect the mattress. The design and type of materials used will not retain moisture so the longevity or function of the mattress will not be affected.
To Top

Q: Does Scotch Guarding my mattress void the warranty?

A: No, it does not void the warranty. However, we don’t recommend Scotch Guarding as the best solution for protecting your mattress or pillow. If you want to protect your mattress from stains and spills, we recommend using our mattress protector.
To Top

Q: My mattress smells funny. Should it smell funny? Can I get a different one?

A: Ashley Sleep has added Actifresh Activated Charcoal and Green Tea extract to eliminate odors in beds. When initially opened from the plastic bag, you might experience that “new car smell” but it will quickly dissipate over the first 24 to 48 hours.

A: Most models will be at 95% within the first 2 hours after opening and ready to sleep on. The other 5% will expand over the next 24 to 48 hours.
To Top

Q: What are the advantages of being shipped in a box?

A: Reduced transportation costs. We can ship 40% more in containers which save fuel and costs the consumer less in the long run.

Reduced damages in transit. With the mattresses boxed, the chance of damage to the merchandise and a customer’s house are greatly reduced. Mattresses are usually damaged in transit by punctures from furniture being shipped with and shifting in trucks. Burns or black marks from being dragged across floors or carpet. Snags in the fabric from being dragged over rough surfaces, and just by dirty hands grabbing dirty plastic bags and then handling the clean mattress. All these are almost eliminated by our "Compression Packaging".

Lastly, customers can take the mattress with them in most cases. No need for a pickup truck or delivery since or product is so compact and easy to transport.
To Top

Q: Do we have to flip Ashley Sleep Mattresses?

A: Ashley Sleep mattresses are designed to be no flip.
To Top

Q: What about Bed bugs?

A: Ashley Sleep mattresses do not prevent or eliminate bedbugs. Bed bugs are usually "top of bed" which means they live in the sheets or top of the mattress material. Mattress protectors will help keep the "Bed Bugs" out of the mattress, but more intense measures will be needed to eliminate them from sheets and blankets. Our mattresses will eliminate dust mites. Dust mites cannot thrive in memory foam or latex. Dust mites need a hot, moist environment to thrive. Our product removes heat and doesn't allow moisture to stay in our mattresses.
To Top

Q: What is the Ashley Sleep warranty?

A: Ashley Sleep warranty is a full replacement for 7 years from the original date of purchase. We are so confident in our technology; we warrant any depressions in our material that measure 3/4" deep or deeper. Most spring manufacturers won't consider a defect until a depression of 1 1/2" or greater. To view the full Ashley Sleep warranty, please click here.
To Top

Q: How does the Ashley Sleep warranty work?

A: The store that you made your purchase from will send a service tech to inspect your mattress for defects in workmanship or materials resulting in a body depression exceeding 3/4". Keep in mind that due to health concerns, service techs will not inspect the mattress if it has any stains on it.

When a customer believes they have a warranty issue a service technician will come to the house and measure the impression. If the impression measures 3/4" or greater, the mattress is considered warrantable as long as key requirements are met. First, there cannot be spots or stains anywhere on the mattress at the time of inspection.

The warranty is considered void and another service visit will not be authorized. Second, the foundation and support frame must meet basic requirements. The foundation must be a rigid, non flex foundation. Box springs are not considered supportive and the warranty will be voided.

The support frame or metal frame must be a 5 or 6 leg frame for Queen and King Mattress sets. If a Headboard/Footboard/Side Rail is being used, center support legs must be in the down the center of the bed under the slats. If no center support is there then the warranty is void. Most issues with "roll together" are a result of no support under the middle of the mattress and structural support is compromised.
To Top

To Top

To Top

Q: My mattress has indentations. I want a replacement mattress. How do I get one?
